Job Description:

As part of the IT Operations team in our downtown Portland headquarters, the Network Engineer is responsible for the daily operations of the Credit Union’s information systems. Responsibilities include configuration, administration, operations, and updating of various IT infrastructure components including physical and virtual servers, routers, switches, network storage, and telephony equipment. The Network Engineer will provide support for all IT services and participate in the design, product evaluation, and implementation of technical solutions. Primary Duties:

  • Maintain systems in accordance with departmental and organizational objectives. Develop and maintain configuration standards for IT hardware and software and evaluate and recommend new technology, as appropriate. Patch systems to mitigate security risks. Update systems to provide new functionality when needed.
  • Install systems and applications in support of IT services including e-mail, web servers, database servers, anti-virus, routers, switches, Storage Arrays, etc.
  • Act as tier three support for all IT services escalations.
  • Participate in the testing and maintenance of the credit union’s disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Participate in IT initiatives and/or Corporate Projects as assigned, including branch changes, new system implementations, system lifecycle refresh projects and/or other initiatives requiring IT involvement.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related field or equivalent work experience required
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience as an IT professional with increasing focus supporting Windows Server, 0365, and network infrastructure.
  • Experience with IP telephony, Virtualization, and/or Storage Administration highly preferred but not required.
  • CCNA and MCSE certifications preferred but not required.
