Job Description:

Are we the place for you?

At Central Willamette Credit Union ($410M in assets; Albany, OR), we are laser-focused on building a stronger financial future for our existing members while seeking strategies to welcome new members into our family. We believe in Building Better Lives Together. We are particularly passionate about making the communities we serve even better places to live, work and play. You will find fulfillment as a member of our team if you believe in our core values of Respect, Integrity, Ethics, Compassion and Humor. If you, like us, integrate these values into all that you do, you will appreciate joining a powerful team that embraces change and has a strong desire to serve, learn, laugh and grow.

We are tirelessly dedicated to our purpose: building local loyalty, connecting to the community, and making life easier for those we serve. This is why our team members are often out in our communities, giving their time and talents to further our quest of making the world a more just and caring place. We are always ready to live and laugh; though make no mistake: we rally intensely toward our goals because we know that, by offering the right financial products and services to the right people, in the right place, at the right time, we are not only improving the lives of those we serve we are also building and growing a Credit Union that will be here for years to come in order to serve our current and future members.

Is this the role for you?

The AVP- Sales & Service leads Central Willamette Credit Union’s sales and service culture and retail branches; delivering strategic growth plans that lead to achievement of organizational production goals. We believe that sales IS service. Only in knowing our members and offering them the best-in-class products and services on our menu are we providing best-in-class service. The individual in this role will be the point-person for analyzing product usage, loan growth, membership growth, referrals and ancillary product sales. The individual in this role must understand, and embrace, the fact that we are not serving our members as a not-for-profit financial cooperative if we fail to offer a full suite of financial products and services. As a key member of the leadership team, the AVP nurtures an inclusive environment that focuses on talent development and accountability alongside collaboration in setting and meeting goals while living our values.

You may be an amazing fit for this role if you are passionate about developing teams who know how to connect to our members with products and services that improve their lives. While you are motivated by setting and achieving goals, you will have support in knowing that there is a greater purpose to what we do than meeting metrics. You will understand that, through all employees embracing our purpose and living our values, always offering the right product at the right place at the right time for a member, sales goals and metrics will come naturally. You will instill this philosophy in all that you do. Your experience leading large teams, training and mentoring branch employees, and creating growth plans will prepare you to thrive. Your problem solving approach will allow you to see opportunities for continuous improvement and will ensure that Central Willamette creates raving fans through every touchpoint.

In addition to managing our retail branches, this role is expected to serve as a strong project manager. You will be energized by keeping many moving parts aligned—across multiple channels and locations—all while staying focused on culture, service, and key performance indicators that prove success.
