When it comes to Credit Unions for Kids, it seems there is no limit to the generosity of credit unions — regardless of asset size. With the Heroes of Hope auction around the corner, Anthem profiles a small credit union’s passion for the movement’s charity of choice.
Credit Unions for Kids brightened the holiday season for Seattle Children’s Hospital twice this month — first with a red-wagon delivery by Unitus Community Credit Union and Peninsula Credit Union, and then with an outpouring of support for the annual Miracle Season Telethon on KOMO-TV.
Nine Radio Flyer wagons full of toys for sick children and checks for the people who are trying to make them well are now on their way to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the Northwest, thanks to Credit Unions for Kids and the Northwest Credit Union Association’s Boardwalk of Miracles auction.
Other than meeting the “patient families” perhaps nothing results in more emotional and financial support for Credit Unions for Kids than the “Fleet of Little Red Wagons.” The tradition takes center stage at the Boardwalk of Miracles dinner and auction in Portland Oct. 9.
