After several weeks of work behind the scenes by the Association, the Oregon credit union bill, SB 177, was passed out of committee and now heads to the next few days.
The Association asks CUs and their members to contact senators through letters, Facebook, calls, and local town-hall meetings, a list of which are in this article.

Staff and credit union executives testified in support of the Credit Union Modernization bill for 45 minutes. The next step is a committee vote before the bill goes to the floor.

The Northwest Credit Union Association’s Prize Linked Saving bill on Wednesday passed a Senate floor vote 46-2. The legislation will now move to the House State Government & Tribal Affairs Committee, a body that has already heard and passed a companion measure to the legislation
Paper ballots on the merger of the Washington Credit Union League and the Credit Union Association of Oregon will arrive in delegates’ mailboxes Thursday, Oct. 21.
Ballots must be postmarked no later than this Thursday, Nov. 4.
