MESA Program Looks to Grow in NW, Helping Students Lighten Debt Load

A three-year scholarship is available for a Northwest credit union employee to attend the prestigious Western CUNA Management School. The combination of on campus and in-credit union curriculum is considered to be among the nation’s highest level educational opportunities for credit union professionals.
The Business Lending School has opened enrollment for an intense six-month training course offering immersion-level training in both a classroom and credit union setting. “When it comes to business lending,” said instructor Robert Hogan, “if attending business-lender training prevents one commercial loan from going bad, they would have paid for training for the entire credit union.”
The Washington Credit Union Foundation is now accepting Cycle 1 applications for all events occurring from April 1 through December 31, 2011.
