A federal judge in Harrisburg, Pa., dismissed a lawsuit that had alleged a credit union violated the Electronic Funds Transfer Act with improper ATM fee notification, ruling that a third party had removed the credit union’s posted notice illegally.

Reminder: Effective Date of Employee Rights Notice

As of Jan. 31, 2012, most private sector employers will be required to post a notice advising employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act.

New Employee Rights Notices Needed Soon

Credit unions, along with most other private-sector employers, must now publicly post notices of employee rights beginning on Nov. 14, 2011, under a new rule announced by the NLRB.
