Members Approve CUNA Bylaws Modernization

Credit Union National Association member credit unions have approved the first significant change to CUNA’s bylaws since the national trade association was founded in 1934.
CUNA’s membership is being asked to vote to modernize the national trade association’s bylaws supported by the CUNA Board. The modernized bylaws are the culmination of the industry’s work to create the most effective advocacy model for the future. The voting period extends through mid-March.
NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz launched a “Regulatory Modernization Initiative†to keep credit unions safe and sound while relieving regulatory burdens. The initiative will introduce new rules, revise existing rules and establish several regulatory relief efforts.
