Unitus Community Credit Union has been honored for its Money Quest Financial Challenge and its overall community involvement with two national awards from the Credit Union National Association. The Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award and Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Award will be presented in February at CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference.
Unitus Community Credit Union was honored Friday with both a national Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award and a national Louise Herring Philosophy-in-Action Award by the Credit Union National Association.
Columbia Credit Union earned a 2012 CUNA Award for its commitment to “making life better.” In 2012, the credit union helped raise $2.9 million, contributed more than 1,250 volunteer hours and assisted 65 organizations in support of Clark County’s all-around recovery from the recession.
Kitsap Credit Union earned regional and national recognition for its “Life on the Edge in Kitsap County” program, garnering a first-place Dora Maxwell Award in Washington and second-place honors in CUNA’s national competition.
Linn-Co Federal Credit Union stepped into the national spotlight at the CUNA Awards Reception in Washington, D.C., Wednesday. The Lebanon, Ore., credit union was recognized for its outreach to underprivileged school children in the community.
