Filene Research Institute has scheduled a webinar for Monday, Sept. 16, to explain its new Accessible Financial Services Incubator project. Northwest credit unions are being asked to submit creative ideas, help test the resulting innovations, and serve on an advisory panel.
Nominations are due June 28 for the Herb Wegner Memorial Awards—the credit union movement’s highest national honors. Categories include Individual Achievement, Outstanding Organization/Program and Lifetime Achievement.
Credit union supporters are encouraged to nominate individuals and organizations for the 2014 Herb Wegner Memorial Awards, “widely considered the highest national honors in the credit union movement,” according to the NCUF’s Josie Collins.
Credit unions have until the end of the month to apply for new “Biz Kid$” Financial Education Grants from the NCUF. The grants can be applied to any youth financial education initiatives that make use of “Biz Kid$” programming.
With deadlines scheduled for June, nominations are currently being accepted for the NWCUA’s Chapter Excellence Awards and the NCUF’s Herb Wegner Memorial Awards, honoring leaders in the movement on the local and national level.
High-level dialogue with economic and technology experts will highlight the CEO/Executive Summit April 25 at Suncadia Resort, where credit union leaders will discuss economic recovery and cutting-edge innovation to better position credit unions.
