The Northwest Credit Union Association is sponsoring a fundraising event for Financial Beginnings. The Game of Life event in Portland April 25 will help to fund training for hundreds of volunteers making financial education presentations in Oregon.
Join credit union advocates in Olympia on Feb. 7 for the Association’s all-new Credit Union Day at the Capitol. “We’ll do a little briefing, have some fun and cover the Capitol campus letting legislators know about the strength and potential of our credit unions,” said Mark Minickiello.
Portland area credit unions are being invited to unite as volunteers for a day at Junior Achievement’s BizTown. The event allows staff from competing credit unions to work together as they help students put their financial literacy skills to work.
On a constantly changing compliance landscape, IRA training is advised every year. Paul Kern will lead an October workshop for NWCUA members, and promises to make a typically complex topic fun to learn.
Ninety-six exhibitors and a variety of fun events are waiting for participants in the 2010 Washington Credit Union League’s Convention and Annual Business Meeting Sept. 14-16 in SeaTac.
