Credit unions have until the end of the month to apply for new “Biz Kid$” Financial Education Grants from the NCUF. The grants can be applied to any youth financial education initiatives that make use of “Biz Kid$” programming.
“Biz Kid$”, the award-winning children’s show aimed at increasing financial literacy, began filming its fifth season in late July. The credit union industry has been the show’s exclusive funder, raising more than $10.4 million in six years.
On a constantly changing compliance landscape, IRA training is advised every year. Paul Kern will lead an October workshop for NWCUA members, and promises to make a typically complex topic fun to learn.
The classroom was set up to look like a movie theater for students to watch episodes of the hit PBS show, which introduces kids to basic money management and entrepreneurial skills.
