Annual & Sustainability Reports

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in the design and communication of annual financial data and/or community impact reports. Entries may include annual or sustainability reports for your credit union, foundation, or CUSO.

Branding

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in the representation of a credit union through communication and design. Entries should include brand guidelines and show cohesive style, demonstrating a well-developed strategy. Examples include messaging, print, or digital materials that show the credit union’s voice or applications of brand-specific design (i.e. logos, type treatments, or graphic elements).

Broadcast Media

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in purchased advertising, either for a single product or series of products within a credit union’s brand. The campaign must have aired on one or more commercial radio or television stations or cable channels within the eligibility period.

Business Partner Marketing

Recognizes third-party NWCUA business partner marketing excellence in promotion, for the creation of turnkey marketing materials for credit unions that effectively promote a product, service, or the broader credit union movement. Examples include in-branch displays, brochures, newsletter articles, and statement inserts.

Collective Action Marketing

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence that messages the overall credit union difference instead of, or in addition to, a credit union’s individual brand. Entries may consist of either a single example, or series of examples that were part of the same campaign. Examples include print or broadcast media, direct member marketing, or online and new media. Entries may come from individual credit unions, or may be the result of collaboration between a group of credit unions, or the result of collaboration by credit union(s) and community organization(s). In the case of the latter, the campaign chairman of the winning entry will accept the first award, with replicas available for purchase for other participants. Results must include, but are not limited to, demonstrating cooperation between credit unions, event execution/attendance and membership or product growth.

Community Impact & Outreach

Recognizes the great work that credit unions do in the community. Entries should focus on the marketing and execution of community outreach, and what impact the events had on the community.

Cross-Media Campaigns

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in advertising results from a comprehensive marketing campaign across a spectrum of media formats, while providing an integrated and consistent experience. Entries should have achieved objectives through a unified strategy including two or more media channels such as print, online, social, mobile, and broadcast media to reinforce a centralized theme.

Newsletters

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in achieving communication goals through a publication. Entries may be print, online, or email publications and should include all pages of at least two consecutive newsletters.

Online/New Media

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in engaging members through electronic media. These electronic marketing tools must promote a credit union, a specific product or service, or be a product, service, or member-engagement tool themselves. Examples include marketing of credit union membership and/or products via the Internet, social media, e-marketing, mobile apps, or other emerging technology.

Recognizes credit union marketing excellence in printed media. Entries may include any single piece or collection of printed material, such as advertisements or brochures designed to promote products, services, membership, or the Credit Union Difference.
