Cascadia Chapter

We have some exciting news to share! The board members of the Mt. Hood Chapter of Credit Unions and the NW Chapter of Credit Unions have unanimously agreed to join forces beginning January 2019. This has been a long-standing topic of discussion between our chapters and we feel like there is no better time than the present to make this transition happen.

You voted: The combined Mt. Hood and Northwest chapters are now the Cascadia Chapter! We’re excited about our new name, chosen by our credit union community (with 42% of the votes). After this, you’ll receive emails from [email protected].

What does this mean for you? The newly combined chapter board has grown to 14 seats, allowing for greater representation of the credit unions within our region. Leveraging our resources, we will be able to host larger, more impactful events with dynamic and engaging speakers, who will present content we are sure you will not want to miss!

Portland/Vancouver Sister Society

The Global Women’s Leadership Network is the credit union industry’s only international platform designed to facilitate greater gender equality in credit unions, including increasing the number of women in leadership positions. To advance this mission on a local level, Sister Societies of the GWLN have been established around the world. Last fall marked the launch of the first group of Sister Societies in our region: The Northwest Chapter of Sister Societies.

The Northwest Chapter is now part of a network of 44 Chapters across 16 countries, founded to encourage, prepare, promote, and develop women for credit union executive leadership roles.
