Micro-communities are groups of credit union employees, advocates, and champions that are working together to build a brighter future for credit unions. They are Credit Union Chapters, Young Professional Networking Groups, Sister Societies of the Global Women’s Leadership Network, Credit Union Development Educator Networks, and more. Micro-communities embody the spirit of collaboration and collective action and are a vital component of the Credit Union Movement.
GoWest Chapter Leaders Worshop Oct. 6, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. PDT
The Chapter Leaders Workshop will convene Chapter board members from across the GoWest region to network, collaborate, and learn from one another. This virtual gathering will provide a space for peer-to-peer thought leadership and insight from industry volunteer experts.

Global Women’s Leadership Network
The Global Women’s Leadership Network is the credit union industry’s only international platform designed to facilitate greater gender equality in credit unions, including increasing the number of women in leadership positions. To advance this mission on a local level, Sister Societies of the GWLN have been established around the world with a network of 154 Chapters across 28 countries, founded to encourage, prepare, promote, and develop women for credit union executive leadership roles.

The Credit Union Movement’s continued success will depend on the next generation of leaders. Preparing those individuals with the tools they need to meet the needs of credit union members is essential to ensuring that the “people-helping-people” philosophy continues into the future. This network will serve as an additional resource and a unifying umbrella over existing YP groups across Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming—seeking to connect and influence the future leaders of the credit union movement.Learn More
GoWest CUDE Network
The GoWest CUDE Network is an alumni group of credit union professionals who have obtained the Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) certification offered through the National Credit Union Foundation. The network fosters ongoing connection and support among CUDEs, credit union professionals who have attended the Leveraging the Credit Union Difference Workshop, and others working to advance cooperative values.
