Credit Union Philosophy Certification
New employees notice very quickly that the credit union space is unique and special. Our Credit Union Philosophy Certification Manual & Quiz captures the rich history of the credit union movement, as well as the social and economic missions we fulfill. After reading the manual, take the quiz, and then download your certificate. This engaging resource is highly recommended for all new employees as well as for staff wanting a refresher course on the roots of the “People Helping People” philosophy.
Northwest Credit Union Chapters
NWCUA’s 20 individual chapters each represent credit unions located within designated geographical boundaries. The Association’s chapter program promotes unity among credit unions in a local area through communication, networking, training, and participation in community, state, and national projects that support the cooperative spirit of the credit union movement.
Credit Unions for Kids
The credit union movement’s national “charity of choice” was founded in the Northwest in 1986. Our credit unions continue to support this legacy cause through collaboration that is facilitated by six regional Ambassador Advisory Groups, driven by the credit unions. Each of the six regional Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals benefit directly from the credit unions’ fundraising efforts.
Small Credit Union Resources
Because small credit unions face unique challenges, the Northwest Credit Union Association has a section of our website specifically dedicated to helping credit unions with assets of $50 million and less, to thrive.
REALSolutions helps real people with real needs. Whether it’s assisting predatory loan victims climb out of debt, working families facing emergencies, or young people striving for the American dream, REALSolutions are just a click away with the Northwest Credit Union Association.

Northwest Young Professionals Network
The Credit Union Movement’s continued success will depend on the next generation of leaders. Preparing those individuals with the tools they need to meet the needs of credit union members is essential to ensuring that the “people-helping-people” philosophy continues into the future.
Working in collaboration with grassroots efforts across our three states, your Northwest Credit Union Association is excited to launch the Northwest Young Professionals Network at the 2017 MAXX Convention. This network will serve as an additional resource and a unifying umbrella over existing YP groups across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho—seeking to connect and influence the future leaders of the credit union movement.
