Role Summary:

The Web Developer/Designer is responsible for ongoing strategic development, improvement, and maintenance of to help strengthen our brand, position, and recognition in the marketplace. This position will identify patterns, root causes, analyze symptoms, and discover solutions. The Web Developer/Designer will be responsible for communicating to internal and external constituents regarding web and content project designs, timelines, strategies, and overall functionalities – including successes and improvements. This position provides direct oversight and ensures the overall look, features and systematic web design meet the standards set forth by the Credit Union – this position should be forward-thinking and provide direction to always go above and beyond in terms of content creation, while improving the system and processes currently in place.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Understand, meet or exceed, industry standards related to digital customer experiences, UXD, and web design.
  2. Be detail oriented and able to deliver intuitive and tested code across multiple browsers and platforms
  3. Communicate technical issues to other developers and third parties/vendors.
  4. Provide support to the Marketing Department on website strategies supporting the prospect experience and business needs of key partners; assist with content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets.
  5. Build reusable HTML code, and create organized, well thought-out CSS for consistent user experience across multiple sites.
  6. Meet with internal stakeholders to discuss and advise on website design and function.
  7. Serve as the project manager and project lead for multiple simultaneous web design projects.
  8. Craft and build complete websites from start to finish (Hosting, Staging, Testing, Production).
  9. Integrate salesforce forms and other tools into new and existing websites.
  10. Help maintain the organization’s WordPress-based web infrastructure.
  11. Install and update WordPress themes and plugins.
  12. Supervise website performance, troubleshoot issues, and conduct website performance tests.
  13. Maintain websites that are ADA compliant and accessible according to web and credit union standards.
  14. Facilitate internal approvals ensuring compliance and brand consistency.
  15. Track and report technical issues to vendors for remediation.
  16. Report and analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics.
  17. Evaluate requirements and propose innovative solutions, keeping in mind the latest industry, competitor, and technology trends.
  18. Collaborate with cross-channel partners and business units to plan and develop site content, style, and layout.

About You:

  1. Interested in stretching beyond your comfort zone to tackle new challenges and learn new skills.
  2. Can self-start and are comfortable testing the limits of what you may have thought were your boundaries.
  3. Have visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
  4. Have knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g.,, Figma, and InVision).
  5. Working knowledge of Webflow.
  6. Approach every single day with a leadership mentality.

What You Will Need:

  1. Associates Degree/equivalent in Computer Science or a related field preferred.
  2. Two (2) or more years of experience as a front-end developer preferred
  3. Ability to tackle problems creatively and effectively
  4. Strong English communication skills (both verbal & written).
  5. A proven ability to both own individual goals and function as part of a strong overall marketing team.
  6. The ability to handle daily routines, long-term goals, and multiple projects.
  7. The ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Comfortability communicating and presenting results.
  9. An in-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment)
  10. An understanding of analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Optimize.
  11. Experience with – A/B testing, Conversion rate Optimization strategies and personalization using Google Optimize/Optimize360.
  12. A sophisticated knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JS.
  13. Be proficient in Google Tools and MS Office Tools.
