Job Description:

This position would ideally oversee all lending and member solutions functions; including security, equipment, staffing, training, and internal controls, as well as oversee security and safety for the departments and to alert staff of any changes and all aspects of member problem resolution. Ensure staff are able to quickly research and solve problems to a reasonable outcome.

Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized lending, member solutions, and lending procedures throughout the Credit Union to maximize efficiency and to provide consistent high-quality service to members.

Initiate, research, develop and recommend financial strategies, policies and procedures; work closely with Executive Management and other departments to implement such policies and procedures in compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate requirements.

Oversee the maintenance of the lending and member solutions operations to ensure that a professional image and approach are being consistently exercised.

Keep apprised of current state/federal regulations, Credit Union policies and procedures. Oversee the maintenance of efficient function of the lending and member solutions areas that meet and can demonstrate compliance with standards set by all regulatory agencies, as well as Credit Union policies and procedures.

Promote Credit Union image and growth in the local community and ensure Management is kept apprised of developments in the community that can affect the Credit Union’s existing or future markets. Participate in Credit Union promotional programs/activities/events.

Both participate on and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful executions of projects, promotions, new products, and program development. Participate in organization planning and development of new Credit Union products and services.

Attend Board meetings and report on assigned areas of responsibility as requested by the President/CEO. Serve on Credit Union Committees.

Maintain regular contact with team to provide support, input, feedback, and guidance concerning daily operations.

Monitor the lending and member solutions activity, including loan volume/sales, delinquency, charge-offs, etc. Prepare, update, and maintain monthly statistical reports, or other reports requested by management.

Monitor and provide support, direction, feedback to the Lending team concerning their budgets and implement controls. Regularly assess lending and staffing levels for efficiency.

Assess the service effectiveness of on an ongoing basis and develop strategies to generate feedback and new ideas to aid in increasing service effectiveness. Analyze, justify and recommend changed in operations to enhance productivity.

Provide high priority member satisfaction; act in accordance with Cascade Federal Credit Union’s Service promise and expectations.

Report to work on time, as scheduled and abide by Cascade FCU’s Personnel Policy concerning attendance. Requires attendance at after-hours meetings. Stay current with operational changes and required trainings.


Education/Experience Required:

Experience: Five plus years of lending experience within a financial institution, at a management level. Required well-rounded knowledge of the Credit Union industry, regulations and operations.

Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, Business Administration or related field.

License or certificate: Must be bondable. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a clean driving history.
