Job Description:

Are We The Company For You?

Peninsula Credit Union is a $285 million community development and low-income credit union headquartered in Shelton, Mason County, WA.  We know our members and have options about where they bank. We work to be the place they choose by cultivating a company culture and outreach strategy that centers around a commitment to our communities. We have been conscious of our roots, mindful of our responsibilities, and energized by our mission to help our members navigate an increasingly complex financial world.  By practicing empathy, we strive to meet members where they are in their financial journey. We like to say “yes” when no one else will regardless of good or bad credit. We listen, we serve, we educate, we care… Always!

Our headquarters in Shelton, Mason County is the gateway to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in northwest Washington. It’s a rural community with easy access to a plethora of outdoor activities, hiking, beach combing, golf, the mountains, and the ocean. A thriving economic hub just 20 miles from Olympia, WA, home of the State Capitol, and 90 minutes from Seattle. This vibrant community offers the opportunity to enjoy, engage and relax. It’s a wonderful place to live and work.

Is This the Role For You?

As a member of the leadership team reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the development of people and shape the culture for success. Career tracking for staff is critical in connecting mission and purpose with individual development. Peninsula is committed to its diversity, equity, and inclusion work. We recognize the growing Hispanic market, our communities’ Native American heritage, and the growing diversity of our workplace. Your leadership will move the organization forward as an inclusive and welcoming place to work and bank. In this key role, you are the architect of an inclusive organizational culture incorporating staff development, aligning performance, and energizing the organization. As Vice President of Human Resources, you will participate in short-term and strategic planning, and have oversight of salary administration, employee benefits, payroll, regulatory compliance, recruitment, workers compensation, safety, and health issues.

Overseeing and integrating all elements of HR and Staff Development, you will help the credit union increase engagement with employees, members, and the broader community we are so proud to serve. Guided by the strategic plan and in collaboration with the executive team and direct reports, as a key leader, you are given ownership and accountability to achieve results to make an impact.
