Job Description:

At the heart of every InRoads Credit Union position is a relationship built between the employee and the members they serve (internal and external). Transparency, acceptance of individuality, confidence and strong communication skills are necessary. Credit Union employees understand members trust and rely on their assistance daily; the employee’s goal is to go above and beyond to make their member’s day easier. 

This position will require a qualified applicant to interact routinely with members using an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) and video platform, while assisting members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; explaining services, setting up new accounts, responding to problems, assisting members with their loan applications and processing loan disbursements. In this role, a Universal Service Advisor will also provide a variety of functions that include paying and receiving, processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers and loan payments. This position will be expected to meet and be accountable for designated goals. Furthermore, there will be specific assigned side-jobs that will include assisting other team members with a variety of duties. Individuals in this position will be required to participate in member focused education and development/training activities.  

It is beneficial for a Universal Service Advisor to be somewhat computer savvy (or at least adapt quickly to learning multiple systems), have strong multi-tasking abilities, be able to connect and engage well with others face to face (through the video platform) and articulate answers and/or instructions (descriptively) in a friendly and courteous manner.  This position requires the delivery of highly consistent quality service while representing InRoads in a positive manner. 

Education/Experience Required:

Qualified applicants have at least two years of experience working with credit products and services or a similar related activity (preferably in the financial services industry) and an Associate’s degree in a related field or an equivalent variation of the two.  This position requires strong interpersonal communication and listening skills, as well as, the ability to remain professional in all situations. An individual in this position must be able to maintain composure under pressure, be engaging with members, work in a fast paced and changing environment, multi-task, be a team player, feel comfortable being on camera and should be available for work Monday through Saturday at any branch location.  Hours for this position may vary, however, the typical annual average for a part-time employee is around 20-29 hours a week.  This position is offered with part-time benefits, including a 401k match and more.

Additional Comments:

These positions will be posted both internally and externally until filled. The first review date is scheduled for July 14th with additional review dates scheduled every other week.
