CapEd’s Senior Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for duties related to the underwriting of FHA, Conventional, and VA loans. Underwriter will evaluate and approve/deny residential mortgage loans and exceptions to policy within scope of authority in accordance the company policy and secondary market guidelines.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Eight years to ten years in-depth background in mortgage underwriting and secondary marketing experience
  • Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree
  • Position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge using computers and MS Office software
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
