Starting Pay Range: $30.14 – $33.00 per hour plus compensation plan and may be eligible for a $2,500 bonus after an introductory period.

Remote positions are eligible for stipends for wifi, cell phone and home office equipment.

As a Senior Insurance Services Representative, you will have the opportunity to leverage your knowledge, skills and experience to help shape the internal processes of OCCU’s new Insurance Services program. You will provide high-quality asset protection service for current and prospective members in the areas of personal and commercial insurance lines. You will support new insurance sales and renewal activities of policyholders and are primary in assisting members with claim inquiries and processing. You will look for opportunities to offer other OCCU products and services and assist in creating greater value and service for members.

Every day you will:

  • Determine needs, provide answers and assist with general insurance questions.
  • Direct sales calls to Insurance Services Agents, as necessary.
  • Gather all necessary information to prepare quotes including completed auto and/ or home quote sheets, current policy declaration pages, appraisals and any other appropriate documentation.
  • Administer and review the insurance management system to ensure all suspense items are completed. Issue policies and add them into the system and handle all two-way correspondence between OCCU and the appointed carrier.
  • Scan and upload all required documentation into the insurance management system, making appropriate notes as required.
  • Provide lenders evidence of insurance loan closings to both internal and external requestors.
  • Process premium payments, requests and provide insurance cards to members as needed.
  • Schedule member appointments with Insurance Services Agents.
  • Follow up on all post bind trailing documents as well as member communications about underwriting and inspection concerns as needed and appropriate.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience with insurance servicing, including handling incoming claims, payment processing and other documentation requirements between the agency or organization and the appointed insurance carrier.
  • Minimum two years of:
    • Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving and development of strategy that results in achieving desired outcomes.
    • Demonstrated informed decision-making skills with a high attention to detail in actual work product, organization, planning, workflow and project prioritization to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Ability to professionally communicate in written and spoken form.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills necessary for managing heavy and complex workloads and multiple tasks, creating documentation, record keeping and maintaining accurate records.
  • Experience in an independent agency and working with independent insurance carriers active in the personal lines market and using AMS360, is helpful.
