As a paid board member, you will be an active participant developing the credit union’s strategic direction, ensuring sound governance, and providing executive level oversight on behalf of the 90,000 members who bank with us.

Successful candidate qualifications:

  • Understanding of the credit union difference and Rivermark’s membership and community impact.
  • Knowledge of credit union products, financial reporting, and utilization of data in decision making.
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo; ability to critically examine and question issues, reports, and plan strategically.
  • Ability to adapt to changing economic conditions and focus on future strategies that bring more value to members.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to actively contribute in board activities including continuing education and participation in sub-committees.
  • Live/work in the Oregon and SW Washington counties within our field of membership.
  • Experience or knowledge of fintech, digital banking, innovation, small business ownership and business lending experience (preferred).
