Pay Range

The full pay range is $22.77 – $34.15 hourly. Depending on experience and qualifications.

TwinStar Credit Union is seeking a Recruiting Specialist to join our team! This position is responsible for developing and implementing appropriate recruiting strategies that maximize the effectiveness of placements of non-exempt and exempt positions in a timely manner while providing an excellent employee and candidate experience.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Advises, interprets and provides direction to management and employees on procedures involving recruitment, placement, diversity & inclusion.
  • Partners with hiring managers to build effective sourcing and assessment approaches with an ability to manage expectations and results; maintaining positive relationships by providing timely, relevant updates and guidance.
  • Counsels employees, supervisors, and managers on the credit union recruitment and talent acquisition plans, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures positions are posted without error and contains all required information. Assist in the management of job boards and advertising.
  • Assesses and verifies candidate information, including resumes, employment history and contact details, using Applicant Tracking System.
  • Completes pre-employment and background processing for new hires.
  • Evaluates additional needs or efficiencies to the recruiting process and makes recommendations to supervisor.
  • Screens candidates, assessing them fairly and consistently using forwarding top candidates to hiring manager
  • Coordinates interviews with hiring managers and applicants, provides updates to applicants during the hiring process and answers questions for managers and applicants.
  • Assist in administering the Employee Referral Program, by processing referrals & referral payments, monitors for effectiveness, and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Manages the creation of offer, promotion, transfer, and welcome letters for new hires and internal transfers/promotions and follows-up with applicant for timely completion.
  • Ensures all requisitions are closed and archived in a timely manner (including candidate notification).
  • Ensures Applicant Flow, Job Folders, tracking documents (such as Smartsheets) and sourcing/reporting are in compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, TwinStar’s Affirmative Action Plan, other compliance and internal processes.
  • Recruits and sources passive candidates through online channels, career events, compelling employment branding and job advertising. Creates community partnerships to promote the TwinStar brand and recognition as an employer of choice.
  • Fosters long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates to create pipelines of candidates available as opportunities present.
  • Works with appropriate stakeholders in the onboarding process to create a positive employee experience process and ensure systems are set up for the new employee; this includes, but is not limited to: hiring manager, IT, training, payroll, etc.
  • Maintains well-developed working knowledge of the assigned duties and job functions; keeping up to date and requesting additional training and/or development as needed.
  • Ensures duties performed are in compliance with all security, audit, regulatory compliance, information security, customer privacy, and Bank Secrecy Act/Customer Identification Program policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates highest levels of member service, confidentiality and discretion when dealing with the internal and external members, employees, applicants and management.
  • Provides support during training sessions, workshops and seminars related to recruiting and talent acquisition for management to ensure compliance with established credit union HR related procedures and Federal & State laws and regulations.

Education & Experience Required:

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 1+ years progressive experience in an Administrative or Human Resource support role.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • 1+ years progressive experience in a Human Resource Generalist or Recruiting role.

This position is eligible for Full-Time Regular benefits. Employees and their eligible family members have access to a wide array of employee benefits, such as medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage. Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance is paid at a 100% by company for the employee coverage. We also offer Health Care FSA (HCFSA) and Day Care FSA (DCFSA). Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our 401k plan. Full-Time Regular employees accrue 8 hours of vacation and 8 hours of sick leave, on a monthly basis. Full-Time Regular hired employees also receive 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, 1 personal holiday, and 16 hours of volunteer time.

All benefits except 401k start the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Employees become eligible to contribute to 401k on the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
