Job Description:

Answers and directs all incoming telephone calls in order to meet members’ needs in a prompt, friendly and professional manner.

A minimum of six months experience as a receptionist or customer service experience.

Answers multiple lines on a multiple extension switchboard promptly and courteously. Directs calls to the correct extension or department. Takes messages, as needed, and directs messages to appropriate party or department. Answers members’ questions to ascertain what department or party can best help the member.
Greets members and visitors upon arriving in credit union and directs them to the correct person or department. Advises staff members when there is someone waiting for them in the lobby.
Provides routine information on credit union including current hours, phone numbers and location of branches.
Sorts all incoming mail to the proper department or party. Operates mail postage machine. Sorts courier bags from branches and prepares courier bags to distribute to branches.
Prepare new account files.
