Project Manager II

Full-Time 40 Hours per Week Class 1 – Exempt

Salary Range:$69,189.12 To 86,486.40 Annually

Role:
Ensures projects are planned, executed and delivered in a timely and efficient manner with quality outcomes. Manages a variety of medium to large scale mission critical strategic projects. Involved in all aspects of planning, scoping, communication, change management, and quality management of the project and their life cycles with minimal oversight. Works directly with Vice Presidents and Leadership Team members to ensure the strategic alignment and success of the most important efforts executed by the credit union. This role will primarily focus on managing Rogue’s technology portfolio and supporting the Information Services/Technology Department. A strong technology background is preferred.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
60% Leads project teams in the successful implementation of the credit union’s highest priority strategic projects. Partners with other teams to develop and maintain relationships by engaging stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives. Creates and updates project documents including requirements documentation, the project scope document, schedules, and notes. Responsible for all project communications including project status updates and stakeholder messaging. Manages projects tasks, resources, and budgets. Makes project related decisions and resolves project issues. Assists in the writing, negotiation and funding of contracts.

20% Develops, models, and guides/mentors/coaches staff functioning as project managers throughout company. Delivers Project Management Process Training, develops Training Plan, develops training materials, and conducts training.

10% Leads, facilitates, or participates in Project Approval & Prioritization Process; Project Planning Process; Resource Planning Process; Scope/Requirements Management Process; and Status Reporting Process. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately. Manages centralized view of resource allocation across projects; identifies risk areas where resources are over-allocated.

5% As required, administers and supports program management application.

5% Proactively performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job and a high level of interpersonal skills are critical to the success of this position. Work frequently involves considerable discussion of problems and resolving issues impacting the credit union as it relates to the Project Management function.

Other Skills: High general competency and the ability to learn new things quickly.  Self-starter who is highly motivated and organized. Strong results orientation, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Effective time management and prioritization skills. Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure success.  Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to transfer information easily to technical staff, team members, stakeholders and senior managers. Team player with demonstrated ability to work successfully with mixed teams of business and technical resources. Must be comfortable and experienced interacting with senior management and able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Ability to negotiate win-win situations. Work frequently involves considerable discussion of problems and resolving issues impacting the credit union as it relates to the Project Management function.  Must be comfortable achieving success through others and giving credit to team members. Ability to analyze and assess project complexities. Ability to identify and mitigate risks. Must possess a bias towards action. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Familiarity with project management software is required. Familiarity with various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Methodologies is a plus.

Physical Requirements: 
Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.


Work Environment: 
Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to the credit union facilities/regions may be required. This job is an exempt position that requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employee must be capable of adjusting to unpredictable schedules proactively. As a direct representative of the credit union, the employee must conduct and present themselves courteously and professionally. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to all credit union regions may be required.
