Job Description:

The Program Manager, Product Development helps build and evolve WECU’s Product Development strategy and execution. This role contributes to and collaborates on a wide spectrum of product initiatives by leading cross-functional teams to help the credit union meets its stated business mission and objectives.  Closely collaborates with other Member Experience program managers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Product Roadmap: Coordinate and manage full organizational product roadmap by collaborating with business line leaders with the goal to produce and working resource accessible and available to leadership.
  • Product Life Cycle: Ongoing analysis and measurement of WECU’s product portfolio to ensure products continue to provide value for both the member and credit union.
  • Product Implementation: Own and drive projects from ideation through implementation and launch, focusing on excellent execution.
  • Product Training: Collaborate with Learning and Development and lines of business to maintain effective resources and updated information for staff.   Maintains and ensures accuracy of product portfolio training materials.
  • Journey Mapping: Understand how members interact, enroll, apply and utilize WECU products and services and identify opportunities for improvement or refinement based on changes in member expectations and behaviors.
  • Competitor Analysis: Maintains ongoing analysis and reporting of both traditional and fintech competitors that offer financial products and services in and out of market.
  • Product Focus Groups: Work with Member Loyalty Program Manager to engage with membership during the product development and life cycle process to craft product experiences that delight our members
  • Responsible for Product related MX scorecard/dashboard development and monthly updates. Also responsible for ad hoc analytic needs to support the MX strategy and/or stakeholder needs. Analyze data and develop models to link member experience with business results.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with internal stakeholders to fully understand business objectives and needs. Proactively identify, translate, and evaluate business concerns, questions and challenges into actionable data insights and/or identify data gaps.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

BS / BA degree in business management, finance or related work experience

  • Three years of banking/credit union product sales and service experience preferred. Broad knowledge of financial institution operations including functions, products/services, and regulations.
  • Skilled in handling several projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and exhibit good technical and problem-solving techniques
  • Strong technical aptitude with ability to learn new technology independently
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of management in a professional manner
  • Experienced with Excel including use of pivot tables, financial functions, data analysis, auditing and additional functions, advanced formatting and analysis tools
  • Able to foster internal and external business relationships to ensure alignment with business imperatives
  • Ability to use power point
  • Basic understanding of online banking, including online security issues
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

COMPENSATION: 

The salary range for this position is from $77,103 to $108,851 per year.
