Leading the management and execution of marketing initiatives for multiple product lines for OCCU, the Products Marketing Manager serves as a critical conduit between product line leaders and marketing. This strategic, detail-oriented, digital-savvy marketing professional is responsible for the planning and execution of successful marketing initiatives and the growth of product lines. This position leads the development of clear product positioning and messaging that differentiates OCCU’s products and services, while also serving as an expert on digital marketing, customer journey mapping, market intelligence, engagement and retention, using sophisticated marketing strategies and tools.

Job Responsibilities:

Product Line Leadership

  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with product line teams and the marketing team. Meet regularly with product line stakeholders, participate in relevant product line meetings and provide ongoing strategic recommendations.
  • Provide frequent updates and reports on progress against goals, including identified success metrics, sharing the appropriate level of communication with the Marketing Manager, marketing team and product line stakeholders.
  • Actively listen to stakeholder input, and coupled with best practices in marketing, utilize strategies to ensure product line success.

Marketing Plans, Campaign Strategies and Execution

  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager on annual marketing plans for products and services, as well as marketing plans for new or revamped products and services.
  • Develop campaign plans to meet marketing and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to execute on annual marketing and campaign plans, identifying metrics for success and ensuring the necessary tracking is in place to measure success.
  • Copyedit and proofread creative deliverables, including ensuring all marketing materials meet compliance requirements.
  • Utilize tools for project management, marketing automation and analytics.
  • Leverage data for strategic segmentation and decision making to increase adoption and engagement, and meet cost-per-acquisition targets.
  • Contribute to research on product line programs and marketing plans by regularly monitoring competitive landscapes and gathering data on consumer preferences, as well as collaborating with the Research & Development team.
  • Granularly track all marketing tactics, ensuring robust tracking is in place to ensure marketing efforts are attributed to successes, in methods consistently used by the marketing team.
  • As changes in markets and/or demands occur, recommend updates to marketing initiatives.

OCCU Strategic Support

  • Serve on cross-functional teams to support organizational projects.
  • Support the Marketing Manager with the strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, brand management, persona research, customer journey mapping and/or member experience initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • At least five years of sophisticated marketing experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Three years of digital marketing experience.
  • Three years of experience in strategic-level product marketing preferred.


Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or a closely related field, or equivalent level of experience.
