Job Description:

This position is responsible for originating mortgage loans in Boise and the surrounding areas; developing referral relationships with realtors, builders, bankers and other sources in order to proactively solicit business and conduct sales-related activities, most often outside of Icon Credit Union locations. Will counsel potential borrowers, take applications and submit to processing and underwriting for approval. Will also remain the front line contact with members and referral sources to ensure that closings take place in a timely manner, and continue to service their mortgage lending needs in the future.

Education/Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years in mortgage loan/sales experience required
  • A valid NMLS state license is required
  • Experienced loan officer with an established clientele or track record preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of mortgage insurance companies and programs preferred
  • Successful candidates will also have a working knowledge of underwriting requirements for Fannie Mae, FHA, VA, IHFA and a full understanding of all state and national laws and regulations regarding mortgage lending
