Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Processes routine member account transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, wires, Cashier Check purchases, loan and cash advances, lobby drop and closing accounts.
  • Balance cash drawer daily, process direct deposit forms, process daily mail, provide dual control to balance the cash vault.
  • Cross sell products and services to members by assisting or referring the member to an appropriate representative. Participate in the sales program, contests, telemarketing and meetings. Accurately track all referrals/sales.
  • Effectively communicates with members and colleagues on general and complex inquiries and skillfully uses member service skills to find resolutions and answers to interactions, inbound calls and emails.
  • Actively troubleshoots all member questions and identifies solutions leading to the retention and the building of member relationships. All while consistently maintaining a high level of member service.
  • Maintains knowledge of all products, services, and processes offered by the Credit Union to effectively build member relationships and provide superior customer service.
  • Is knowledgeable of and adheres to established policies, procedures and processes and exercises appropriate approval authority.
  • Helps members get set up with E services and troubleshooting those issues.
  • Participate in AML/BSA compliance training as assigned. Adhere to credit union AML/BSA policy and procedures including CTR rules and form preparation, identify and refer suspicious activity to the Compliance Department, perform OFAC comparisons, and properly identify individuals in accordance with Valley Credit Union procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Is quick to adopt and support frequent updates and changes.
  • Must be detail oriented and skilled in data entry.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: 1 year + customer service experience at Financial Institution
  • Demonstrative ability to cross-sell, up-sell and/or refer products.
  • Must possess effective human relations and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Willingness to learn
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • Pay: $19-$22 DOE
