Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provide Exceptional Member Service
  2. Maintain an up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products, services, policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations
  3. Offer appropriate products/services to deepen member relationships and refer to other team members as appropriate
  4. Meet or exceed service level and job performance goals and expectations related to the branch and organizational goals
  5. Perform all monetary transactions on member’s accounts in an accurate and timely manner. Accurately follow all cash handling procedures and balance your cash drawer at the end of every day
  6. Assist members with digital banking needs as appropriate
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of member information according to regulatory and organization guidelines and policies
  8. Perform all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Control risk and perform duties in a safe and sound manner.
  9. Issue and record monetary instruments and file monetary reports in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act
  10. Complete assigned training programs in timely and accurate manner. Attend credit union training sessions, conferences, or seminars if approved by the Branch Leader.
  11. Ability to support other team members. Serve as a subject matter expert in your role.
  12. Capable of opening basic new accounts and account maintenance
  13. Proficient with high level transactions and complex processes
  14. Able to place cash orders, balance vault cash, and maintain ATM machines and night drops
  15. Possess a proficient knowledge of industry rules and regulations
  16. Proficient in assisting members with digital banking needs
  17. Demonstrate and support credit union values and service standards
  18. Other duties as assigned

  9. Understand and perform Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) functions as applicable to job responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Minimum of one year of customer service and cash handling experience in a financial institution
  3. Ability to work with varying levels of technology
  4. Possess high level of personal integrity and ethics
  5. Ability to participate in and support a team environment
  6. Support community events and business partnerships
  7. Proficient with standard office equipment, MS Office, computer and reporting applications, software, and credit union programs
  8. Ability to report for work on time and maintain a schedule of regular attendance
  9. Project a professional image at all times
  10. Some travel may be required to fulfill duties, career development and/or responsibilities

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Per the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, this is considered a position.
  • Ability to stand on a frequent basis (31-71%)
  • Occasional walking and standing (11-30%)
  • Seldom sitting (1-10%)
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently, including negligible forces
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. on a seldom basis
  • Frequent repetitive hand and wrist motions

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work environment is indoors, in a clean office area
