Job Description:

Accountabilities include oversight of loan processing, documentation, closing, boarding, funding, asset and investor (Participation) servicing functions. Primary duties:

  • Manages the day-to-day operational activities supporting the credit Union’s growing business lending program.
  • Oversees loan processing, documentation, closing, boarding, funding, post-closing servicing and account management systems as well as asset and investor (Participation) servicing functions.
  • Supports reporting and communications regarding departmental work products and activities against targets and key performance measures for growth, service, efficiency, and employee engagement.
  • Works cross functionally to support innovative projects related to the expansion and growth of member business lending products, services and delivery systems.
  • Managing and guiding the design, testing, implementation of a commercial loan origination and servicing system which are technology-based platforms supporting business loan origination, documentation, closing, boarding and post-closing servicing.
  • Supports the AVP of Business Lending in the development and execution of tactics and strategies by continually identifying and making recommendations regarding opportunities to improve day-to-day operations leveraging improved practices for people, processes, and systems.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field of study or equivalent in work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of business or commercial loan operations experience with thorough working knowledge of standards and practices for loan documentation, closing, loan participations, loan servicing, and collateral management.
  • General working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations that govern business lending.
  • Proven experience with the design, testing, and management of loan origination and/or servicing technology platforms, specifications, and enhancements desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to create an atmosphere that promotes inclusion, innovation, teamwork, collaboration, and initiative.
  • Well-developed people management and coaching skills, including basic knowledge of employment law and best practices.
  • Successful experience leveraging project management and change management methodologies to lead business process changes supported by clear written guideline and performance expectations to ensure a positive member and employee experience.
  • Ability to travel locally on a regular basis including, maintain a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation for travel.
