THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a new Learning and Development Partner I in either Tri-Cities, Spokane, or Seattle-Tacoma to support and grow the organization’s efforts in learning and development. We’re seeking an empathetic, thoughtful candidate who has enthusiasm for helping team members learn our best-in-class products and services, operational systems, and organizational culture. As a member of the Learning & Development team, you’ll have the unique opportunity to enhance the competencies of our team members while designing and conducting training programs that boost workplace performance in alignment with the credit union’s core values. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

If you have experience facilitating and executing employee development programs, have a passion for creating inclusive and engaging learning experiences, and can maintain a positive attitude while navigating shifting priorities, we want to connect with you! Specifically, we’re looking for candidates who have experience leading the development and administration of training programs via a blended learning approach including instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, asynchronous eLearning, and on-the-job aids. Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators who can work effectively with our learners, project managers, IT professionals and leadership with little supervision.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Employee Onboarding and Development (50%) – Delivers new hire, member service, sales, and product training as needed. Creates and maintains new employee onboarding plans and assists with the creation of ongoing employee development plans and learning pathways. Develops and administers the credit union’s training programs and coordinates presentations and/or presents programs, determining appropriate instructional method(s) in coordination with subject matter experts. Designs training materials, assessments, and assists in the creation of specific training job aids.
  2. Training Assessment (20%) – Initiates assessments with leaders from all departments to identify training gaps and opportunities. Develops, prepares and conducts innovative training programs to address gaps and reinforce key competencies. Leverages best practices that impact and increase the overall productivity of team members.
  3. Learning Management System (LMS) Administration (20%)– Creates and maintains an engaging virtual learning environment. Designs, develops, and enhances eLearning and video courses, webcasts, and assessments that enhance learner retention and are consistent with the credit union’s training priorities.
  4. Training Evaluation (10%) – Tracks the progress of learners through course evaluations, routine assessments, observations, and feedback from supervisors. Evaluates the effectiveness of the current training, adjusting program content as necessary. Maintains accurate training records and documentation.

Must maintain a solid working knowledge of the credit union’s vision, values, strategic initiatives, systems, policies, and procedures. Must comply with applicable laws and regulation, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the USA PATRIOT Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
