IT Asset Manager

This position manages, controls, and protects the organization’s IT assets throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Manager works with IT Management to design, develop, and implement the organization’s asset management strategy.

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Location: This position is hybrid and based out of Lacey, Washington. Some duties will be performed remotely and some in an office setting. Must be able to travel to services areas of TwinStar Credit Union and to our Cornerstone office on a regular basis (minimum 2 days per week).

Salary: $62,241.68-$77,802.10/annually depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

Essential Functions and Tasks

  • Perform daily and long-term operational management of hardware and software
  • Plan, monitor, and record hardware assets software licenses and assure they compliant with vendor contracts in different software tools
  • Apply a continuous improvement approach in enhancing the strategies employed in technology spending, as well as in tracking company assets within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) throughout their lifecycle
  • Ensure effective management of the CMDB and that the content contained is accurate
  • Take part in various projects, providing support to other IT groups.
  • Manages and contributes to the development of existing support systems, centralized enterprise knowledge base, and   enterprise automation initiatives.
  • Manage  inventory of CIs and assets, including dependencies and attributes, making sure that modifications, withdrawals, and additions of existing ones are correctly recorded by the teams in charge in the tools supplied
  • Responsible for managing lifecycle of hardware and software from introduction to their retirement
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including compliance reports on current assets and CIs and their status; also perform trend analyses
  • Ensure process efficiency by implementing the key performance indicators; suggest improvements to the process continuously
  • Establish and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning asset and configuration management
  • Perform research on industry best practice and incorporate it with organizational practices
  • Image, install software, configure and distribute end user equipment
  • Manages and contributes to the development of existing support systems, centralized enterprise knowledge base, and   enterprise automation initiatives.
  • Work with IT Management and Risk Management to manage IT vendor due diligence.
  • Conduct periodic manual audits to assure accurate record keeping.

Education & Experience Required

Education

  • High school graduate or GED

Experience

  • 1+ years of related experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

Education

  •  Associates Degree or Certificate in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or a similar field.
