Pay Range:
The full pay range is $85,569 to $124,075 per year (dependent upon knowledge, skills, and abilities)

Position Primary Purpose:

Northwest Community Credit Union, a division of TwinStar Credit Union, is looking for a full-time Infrastructure Engineer III to join their team! This position is responsible for the operation of secure, and highly available, computing platforms, services, and networks. Installs, maintains, upgrades, and continuously improves the credit union’s operating environment. It maintains ongoing reliability, performance, and support of the IT infrastructure and monitors the operating environments; responding to incidents, problems, and planning for growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complete, end-to-end technology assessments and provides recommendations to maximize technology return on investment. · Identifies and recommends mitigation to existing and future business risk associated with current and proposed changes to technology architecture.
  • Administers and manages Microsoft Windows ecosystems and operating systems, cloud IaaS and PaaS assets in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 assets.
  • Acts as the application owner in accordance with industry best practices in the data center and cloud including, but not limited to, Active Directory identity and access management, Exchange email administration, Enterprise Collaboration Tools Program, system and application software performance management, process automation initiatives, Patch Management Program, Enterprise Backup Program, Maintenance and Operation Program, and Cloud IT Operations Program.
  • Manages installs and upgrades of core software in collaboration with internal development and third-party entities. · Ensures alignment with compliance frameworks, security architecture standards and patterns.
  • Assists in the development, adoption, and maintenance of the Technology Services Department’s standard operating procedures. Assists with compliance and adherence to industry best practices.
  • Partners with internal customers to translate business objective into system requirements and defines an enterprise-wide technology approach within Office365 and Azure ecosystems.
  • Configures and monitors server and application network connectivity and core protocols to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Administers Domain Name Systems and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. · Monitors, tests, and troubleshoots server and application network performance. Provides network performance statistics reports and root cause analysis.
  • Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to server and application configurations, network mapping, server dependencies, and network security.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for server and application administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
  • Assists with hardware and virtual machine asset management, including maintenance of hypervisors and storage arrays, component inventory, and related documentation and technical specifications.
  • Oversees new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
  • Assists in advanced IT security practices.
  • Assists and/or provides guidance to IT Infrastructure Team with network, telephony, and hardware issues.
    · Interacts with vendors, outsourced resources, and contractors to secure network products and services.
  • Educates, trains, and provides guidance for best practices to internal Technology Services Team for long-term support.
  • Works closely with internal teams to continuously provide feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborates with management team members to develop budgets and timelines for solutions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Education: High School or GED.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in related IT infrastructure work.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Financial Industry experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Azure Administrator, Azure Security, and/or Azure Architect. Certifications in Legacy Microsoft MCSA, MCSD, and/or MCSE .

Demonstrated Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
  • Advanced hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Advanced, hands-on technical knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization platforms and their related ecosystems, including Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, and other third parties.
  • Experience in Powershell is a plus. · Experience with enterprise backup software and technologies, such as Commvault is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft’s Technology Ecosystem (Azure, Sharepoint, Teams, Exchange, OneDrive, Dynamics365, and Power Platforms).
  • Experience/familiarity with enterprise storage arrays and storage array networks.
  • Extensive application support experience with designated third-party vendors, Microsoft, Cisco, and VMware.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. · Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Must have strong customer service orientation. · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols including LAN, WLAN, and WAN design and implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. · Working knowledge of Linux operating systems. Can be one or multiple of these distributions: Red Hat, Centos, Debian, Ubuntu, Oracle Enterprise Linux or other mainstream distributions.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.

Benefits & Other Compensation:
Employees (and their eligible family members) are eligible to enroll in a generous benefits package including health, vision, dental, life and AD&D insurance. Employees will also receive company provided life, AD&D, and long-term disability coverage. After 60 days employees may participate in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan and after one year of service, the company provides a safe harbor non-elective contribution of 3% and matches your contribution towards your retirement at 150% up to 3%. Additionally, employees will receive up to 11 paid holidays throughout the calendar year, a minimum of 12 days of paid time off (PTO) each calendar year, and 13 weeks of paid leave used when on an approved state or federal protected leave or in compliance with company policy.

The hired applicant will also be eligible for role specific variable compensation in accordance with the established plan documents.
