PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for overseeing the secure and effective operation of all Technology Infrastructure services, including managing the IT Infrastructure team. Key systems & services ownership includes the LAN, WAN, Citrix, VMWare, JIRA, Service Desk, desktops & telephony and data centers. Plays a leadership role in employee technology experience, BCDR, information security and IT projects.

DUTIES:

  • Manages the IT Infrastructure team. Provides operational guidance, coaching and performance feedback.
  • Manages the Service Desk system aligning programming and network/support staff resources in line with organizational SLAs including monitoring, tracking, and reporting.
  • Organizes the department to successfully manage the performance, maintenance, reporting and documentation of all computer functions, including the core financial system, the local area network and wide area network including PCs, telecommunication systems, and overall IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee system backups and recovery, log files, security and system configuration.
  • Responsible for the support of the core financial system infrastructure, and all other business hardware/software upgrades.
  • Communicate with the organization, both individually and collectively, on current system status, disruptions, resolution timelines, etc.
  • Responsible for thorough testing of all system enhancements, updates and program changes to ensure their accuracy. Partner with the business to ensure user acceptance testing is complete.
  • Recommend and assist with purchasing of new and/or replacement hardware and software, ensuring uniformity and compatibility in all data and telecommunications systems.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new technology tools which may enhance productivity or create efficiency in the area of Information Technology.
  • Provide project management support for IT-led initiatives to multiple departments.
  • Recommend and implement programs and procedures affecting the IT department including analysis and reporting.
  • Leverage JIRA functionality to manage and report on the employee technology experience, support issues and resolution outcomes.
  • Serve as liaison with users, management, and vendors to define computing and telecommunications requirements; resolve problems with applications, telephone systems, and networks.
  • Administer and support the LAN and WAN networks including, but not limited to, structure, design, user access, security, software, hardware and maintenance.
  • Administer implementation, reporting, monitoring and documentation of hardware and software inventories, system standards, network diagrams and security systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring system uptime meets established standards.
  • Assist in implementing security, compliance and other safeguards or measures. Assist in evolving, testing and supporting the business continuity / disaster recovery (BCDR) plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to use computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Must be able to view computer monitor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two-year degree in Information Systems or a related field, or at least seven years related experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years management experience required.
  • Good communication, including writing, speaking and active listening skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with or knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (MS Exchange, Active Directory, SQL and other Windows-based systems), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and system performance monitoring.
  • LAN/WAN technologies, routing & switching and digital security.
  • Expert knowledge of IT best practices.
  • Financial institution or other highly-regulated industry experience preferred.

WORK LOCATION / SCHEDULE

  • Position located in corporate headquarters in Bothell, WA
  • Eligible for hybrid remote work schedule
  • Occasional requirement to work evenings and/or weekends for system installs and updates, and to address outages.
