Human Resources Manager

Possess thorough knowledge of human resources procedures and functions. Ensure compliance of applicable Washington and Oregon employment law and programs such as Affirmative Action, Equal Employment, FMLA, OFLA, WFLA, WFCA, WLAD, ADA, ERISA, COBRA, OSHA, etc.
Manage employee relations throughout the Credit Union including onboarding, employee communication, stay interviews, exit interviews, conflict resolution, and coaching.
Manage benefit programs such as medical, dental, life insurance, disability, retirement, employee assistance, and other benefits. Ensure legal compliance of employee benefit programs. Act as the primary contact for outside brokers and vendors.
Manage the recruiting process of job applicants; selecting applicants, interviewing, testing, conducting reference checks, and assisting managers.
Ensure Employee Handbook and HR Policy Manual is updated and in compliance with applicable laws.
Oversee the Credit Union’s performance appraisal process. Assist management in the administration of performance planning and review program, including promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Manage job descriptions and evaluate jobs using established evaluation system.
Manage employee compensation to ensure compensation is equitable and competitive. Recommend pay and range adjustments as needed.
Manage annual Human Resources budget.
Facilitate HR audit functions. Work with internal and external auditors, as necessary.
Maintain Affirmative Action Plan and EEO1 reporting requirements.
Manage workers’ compensation claims and correspondence with Washington Labor and Industries.
Prepare quarterly and annual turnover reports.
Lead, coach, and manage the functions of department staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions in a timely manner.
Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field).
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
