Employee Services Data Analyst

Full-Time 40 Hours per Week Class 1 – Hourly

Department: Employee Services

Reports To: Employee Services Manager

Role:

Serves as the point of contact to Rogue Credit Union’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for all areas of the Employee Services function. This includes but not limited to: employment, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, regulatory compliance and more. Drives all data-driven activities such as collecting, analyzing and outputting data, generating report and process improvement. Works in conjunction with the Employee Services department to support Rogue’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

45% Serves as the credit union’s Subject Matter Expert for the HRIS and providing accurate data to support department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS. Provides general support for HRIS related questions and requests within the credit union, with a focus on the Employee Services team. Responds and provides team member related data, reports and analytics. Prioritizes data collection and analysis in order to make evidence based decisions upon trend identification. Generates reports monthly, on an ad-hoc basis and requested queries. Participates in team projects that are directly associated with the HRIS. Compiles reports for the Board of Directors, Leadership team and other managers upon request. May utilize cross-functionality between ADP and Compease.

15% Completes data entry, review and management. Assists with processing employee data changes including mass updates and organization changes, employee lifecycle changes and audits.

10% Provides entry-level technical training, guidance and overview. Creates and writes procedures for the HRIS and supports internal team members as technical assistance and training opportunity arise. Troubleshoots with HRIS users, manages permissions, access and works with HRIS vendor as needed.

10% Makes suggestions and recommendation on streamlining and improving processes. Is proactive with department needs and suggests areas to be addressed in a measured and methodical manner. Participates in the ongoing development, implementation and maintenance of workforce administration operations.

10% Proactively seeks HRIS continuous improvement. Identifies efficiencies through simplification, standardization, and automation of processing HR transactions. Gathers factual information for evaluating capabilities and limitations of the credit union’s HRIS. Actively discovers new system functionalities to streamline processes. Seeks out and participates HRIS vendor training when available.

5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.

2. Produces quality work with minimal errors. Has a good eye for detail and produces professional work.

3. Is highly productive. Requires little oversight/supervision. Stays busy and keeps personal conversations and distractions to a minimum. Stays organized, prioritizes and on task. Meets deadlines.

4. Is versatile and accurate with processing talent movement and change requests within the HRIS database management system.

5. Is familiar with human resource policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals. Has excellent technical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret effectively verbally and as a written statement. Supports department KPI’s by providing accurate data.

6. Maintains confidentiality with all credit union information. Is helpful but knows how to change direction or explain when being asked about information that cannot be divulged. Uses good judgement in all aspects of work.

7. Maintains a professional work environment and businesslike appearance while at all times understanding this position acts as a direct representative of Rogue Credit Union.

8. Demonstrates a practical understanding of the nature of working in Employee Services. Is a good listener, effective communicator, and comes across as empathetic and helpful to both management and staff.

9. Demonstrates empathy, self-reflection, and adjustment of own behaviors, displaying effective emotional intelligence.

10. Meets or exceeds assigned goals in order to achieve individual, department and credit union goals. Stays informed of current trends within the credit union movement and financial services industry.

11. Adheres to and maintains all credit union promotional, regulatory and policy compliance requirements including compliance with any Federal and State laws.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Other Skills: Has excellent organizational and time management skills. Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to create rapport. Requires good keyboarding skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Requires good composition/editing skills with an eye for quality and accuracy. Must be able to learn the credit union’s policies and procedures. Has good judgment with the ability to work in a confidential environment. Can work independently with limited supervision. Is resourceful at problem solving. Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive or access alternative transportation.

Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Work Environment: May require working occasional weekends or evening hours; otherwise, normal workday with occasional overtime. Office environment with some outside work related to events, managing resources, or transporting materials. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. Travel to the credit union facilities/regions may be required.
