Job Description:

Location: Eugene, OR – This position is remote in Oregon

Starting pay range: $84,770 – $91,240 annually

Remote positions are eligible for stipends for Wi-Fi, cell phone and home office equipment.

Every day you will:

  • Consistently demonstrate alignment with OCCU vision and values.
  • Display strong project management skills through the successful development, planning, and implementation of DEI programs and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate DEI initiatives to determine impact, assess outcomes, and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Lead DEI Taskforce with responsibility for meeting facilitation, directing projects and initiatives, setting clear expectation for participation and reporting project status.
  • Leverage internal communication vehicles to ensure employee awareness of DEI initiatives, understanding and participation in programs related to increasing engagement with DEI programs.
  • Work closely with Communications and Marketing to create member awareness of external DEI initiatives.
  • Engage stakeholders both internally and within the community to build strategic working relationships that support DEI programs, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Communicate in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner with all employees, members, and others with whom we may work.
  • Contribute to a successful work group and foster a team-oriented culture through positive interactions, active listening, meaningful collaborations, and the constructive exchange of ideas designed to meet or exceed the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Provide exceptional and measurable service to internal and external members with timely and accurate responses to their inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of organizational initiatives, operational rhythm, and strategic priorities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of external DEI trends and bring forward recommendations that advance the program.
  • Remain current on all credit union policies/procedures relevant to DEI initiatives and serve as a stakeholder on areas of expertise
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential, and proprietary OCCU information.

To thrive in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum three years of similar or related experience.
  • Well-founded relationship management, interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience partnering with senior management.
  • Advanced communication skills including written, oral, presentation and interpersonal skills are required with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in public speaking and facilitation skills.
  • Proven project management, planning and organizational skills required with the ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and consistent, logical, and effective decision-making.
  • Above-average proficiency Microsoft Applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
