Role Summary:

The Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and crafting a wide range of visual media for marketing and other departments. This position requires close collaboration with a team of creatives, copywriters, designers, PM’s and strategists. The Designer will help develop marketing strategies and high-end visual assets that span across multiple platforms in order help strengthen our brand, position, and recognition in the marketplace. The Designer will connect with internal and external partners regarding project requirements to build the best customer experience possible. This position will ensure all assets produced adheres to Gesa brand standards. This position should be forward-thinking and provide direction to always go above and beyond in terms of content creation, while improving the system and processes currently in place.

What You Will Be Doing:

  1. Conceptualize, plan, and build a wide range of visual media, using traditional and digital techniques, for marketing and other departments. Such media includes, but is not limited to campaigns, brochures, folders, newsletters, presentations, displays, exhibits, posters, and specialty items.
  2. Interact with various clients to interpret and translate their expressed needs and ideas into effective visual forms tailored to the needs of intended audiences.
  3. Craft the placement and appearance of material for printed or digital output, select typographical formats, and design and plan effective use of color, tone, aesthetic composition, and harmony.
  4. Inspect proofs for accuracy and adherence to appropriate production standards and suggest improvements as needed.
  5. Provide technical advice and guidance, and serve as liaison to production staff, partners, and/or printing representatives on Gesa brand standards, design, and technical graphics issues.
  6. Adhere to Gesa brand guides as well as policies and procedures governing communications and marketing efforts.
  7. Ensure all digital outreach efforts and products meet Gesa standards for quality and audience comprehension.
  8. Actively participate in client meetings, work sessions, and presentations to move others toward a singular, compelling vision.
  9. Participate in a creative environment collaborating with copywriters, designers, and producers ensuring multiple marketing campaigns come to life and business projects and initiatives successfully deliver against expectations.
  10. Through continuous education, be an expert on software applications and on the latest trends in print and digital production.

About You:

  1. Have experience in an agency setting and working with creative teams.
  2. Your objective is to take ownership and follow through to deliver high quality design.
  3. Can identify the difference between good and bad typography
  4. Are comfortable with design systems.
  5. Enjoy collaboration and finding solutions with other creatives to solve problems.
  6. Can self-start and are comfortable testing the limits of what you may have thought were your boundaries.
  7. Approach each day with a leadership mentality.
  8. Are willing to fail!
Qualifications

What You Will Need:

  1. 2+ years of experience designing an array of projects in a fast-paced agency or corporate setting
  2. Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD or other UI design platforms
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  4. Attention to detail
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in general research and information gathering
  6. Effectively communicate ideas and information, verbally and in writing
  7. Effective interpersonal skills to deal with a range/variety of people
  8. Ability to adapt to and manage changes with ease
  9. The ability to lead by example by displaying solid ethics and integrity at all times
  10. Maintains a high level of confidentiality
  11. Financial services/credit union experience is a plus
  12. Some travel is required for training, to fulfill duties, and for career development
