Dealer Loan Processor

Location:  Springfield, Oregon (Corporate Headquarters)

Work location: this position may be eligible for hybrid onsite and remote work arrangements within the Eugene/Springfield area if the candidate meets the requirements.

Employment type/status:  Regular, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Benefit eligible: Yes, eligible for full benefits

FSLA status: Non-exempt

Required schedule/availability:  Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 6:30pm

Starting Pay Range: $18.05-$20.30 per hour.  This range will be converted to semi-monthly ranges for full-time employees.

SELCO Community Credit Union is looking for a full-time Dealer Loan Processor to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters location in Springfield, Oregon. This position is responsible for processing dealer loans by gathering, validating, and updating information within loan systems, funding dealer loans, and maintaining loan records. The Dealer Loan Processor also performs a variety of support duties related to the lending functions within the Credit Union.  The successful candidate will bring a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in financial institution, office, or customer services. Essential job duties include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Assist Loan Underwriters by gathering and/or validating information for dealer loans.
  • Review loan files to ensure information is accurate and credit approval terms and conditions are met prior to loan origination.
  • Work with Loan Underwriters, dealers, and members to resolve fund delays or other issues.
  • Originate and fund dealer loans.
  • Ensure loan files are properly archived.
  • Maintain and demonstrate strong knowledge of loan product requirements and laws related to lending.
  • Greet and interact with internal and external members and customers in a warm and friendly manner, demonstrate a sincere interest and willingness to help.

  • Sophisticated computer and software skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Symitar, and departmental computer systems.

  • Ability to make sound, logical decisions based on loan policies and guidelines.
  • Ability to read and analyze documents such as credit reports, tax documents, etc.
  • Good time management and organizational skills with a high level of initiative, responsibility, and accountability, including the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in financial institution, office, or customer services; and
  • Must be bondable.
