Our six-state not-for-profit trade association seeks a go-getter to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among GoWest credit unions and CU Communities. Through the strategic input and management of engagement, initiatives, and events, this role will continually seek ways to integrate cooperative member and CU Communities engagement, fostering collaboration, and ensuring that strategic priorities are weaved throughout all that we do.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Manages and leads the overall direction of CU Communities, including annual plan, goals, budget, marketing coordination, and reporting. CU Communities include Credit Union Chapters, Young Professional Groups, Global Women’s Leadership Sister Societies, CUDE Networks, CUNA Management School Alumni, and other groups as defined.
  • Develops and manages a comprehensive recognition program for CU Community leaders.
  • Plans and executes CU Community leadership training events and executes logistics with marketing and program teams.
  • Develops and coordinates a comprehensive onboarding and training program for CU Community leaders.
  • Evaluates CU Community program effectiveness on an ongoing basis and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Manages the overall young professional development program, supporting young professionals to develop competencies in advocacy, leadership, and professional growth. Measures effectiveness of the program on an annual basis and recommends program improvements for the following year.
  • Fosters connection across young professionals, connecting them with CU Communities, development opportunities through the Association, and advocacy engagement.
  • Working with stakeholders across the organization, develops project plans that help advance defined member engagement strategies and goals.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing and Communications team to develop communication plans that support engagement projects. Organizes the team around deadlines to support project milestones.

Our ideal candidate will possess strong communications skills, a can-do attitude, and project management experience. They will have experience working with advisory groups, steering committees, and/or boards.    Our perfect candidate will be an organized, efficient, detail-oriented self-starter, and able to work independently and in teams. A Bachelor or Associates degree or equivalent work experience is required as well as prior community outreach or credit union experience.

Salary ranges from $55-$68k base salary, depending on experience. This position is eligible for a variable pay program which has a potential 5% of base salary earnings.  Employees (and dependents 50%) are covered by medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short- and long-term disability.  Employees are eligible to enroll in our 401k plan.  New employees will accrue 15 days of vacation and 8 days of paid time off. In addition, employees will enjoy eleven paid holidays and two floating holidays.
