Job Description:


Kitsap Credit Union is hiring for a full-time hourly Contact Center Specialist to work out of our East Bremerton location in beautiful Kitsap County, WA. As Contact Center Specialist, you are responsible for providing exceptional service through all digital channels while deepening member relationships by cross-selling products and services and educating on digital and self-service options. This position has a thorough understanding of KCU policies and procedures to be able to handle advanced level requests.

Working hours:  Monday through Friday 7am-7pm, plus rotating Saturdays, 8am-5pm;  8.5hr shifts

Typical Job Duties

  • Authentically engage members and callers through asking relevant and meaningful questions, identifying their needs, and making appropriate product and service recommendations.
  • Accurately perform daily operations including transactions, card maintenance, new accounts, lending, assisting members with their online banking and other financial needs.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge in KCU’s policies and procedures to be able to answer complex questions, and/or resolve non-routine problems that may arise.
  • Promote and effectively educate members on digital and self-service options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced.
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Adhere to operational, regulatory, and security requirements while minimizing losses.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to any information received directly or indirectly at all times.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum one-year financial institution experience performing transactions and account maintenance.
  • Minimum one year customer service in a high-volume call center environment.
  • If accepting or processing loan information, must register with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations.
  • Availability during Saturdays and extended business hours.
