Job Description:

Where it’s located:   330 Union Ave SE, Olympia, WA 98501

When you’d work: Monday – Saturday 8:30 am–8:00 pm and Sunday 11:00 am-4:00 pm, with scheduling flexibility required to meet the needs of the position

How much you’ll earn: $18.79 – $28.19 per hour, DOQ 

What does a Consumer Loan Underwriter (Temporary) do?

  • Manages complex loan requests
  • Reviews consumer loan requests
  • Determines loan qualifications and approvals according to WSECU guidelines
  • Provide first-call resolution and assist coworkers according to our service promise
  • Complies with regulatory requirements including, but not limited to, the Bank Security Act

Education/Experience Required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent, or greater
  • 18 months of consumer lending experience
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook (preferred)
  • CUDL, internal loan operating system, and Symitar knowledge (preferred)
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including effective listening, speaking, and writing
  • Demonstrated analytical decision-making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate or greater proficiency with Microsoft applications; ability to master WSECU computer operating systems
  • Credit Union or financial institution experience and understanding of financial regulations (preferred)
