Required schedule/availability:  Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm

ABOUT THE POSITION:

SELCO Community Credit Union is looking for a full-time Commercial Loan Officer to join our team at our Gateway Branch in Springfield, Oregon. This position is responsible for providing quality services to existing members and actively develop commercial and business banking relationships. The Commercial Loan Officer is also responsible for the development and maintenance of SELCO’s local commercial loan portfolio

The successful candidate brings a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or equivalent work experience.  In addition, at least two (2) years of experience in credit analysis and at least one (1) year of experience in commercial lending or equivalent work experience. Essential job duties include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Interview and qualify members requesting commercial and business banking services.
  • Evaluate and interpret information related to borrowers and prospects (e.g., management/business history, environmental issues, risks involved in industry, tax returns, financial statements, etc.).
  • Prepare thorough borrower analysis (including financial reports with explanations) along with spreading various tax returns and financial information while ensuring adherence to sound analysis and lending practices and maintaining compliance within the Commercial & Business Banking policies, procedures, federal and state regulations, and other compliance obligations.
  • Monitor and review accounts receivable agings for lines of credit.
  • Prepare annual reviews on necessary commercial loans (e.g., complete property inspections (upon request), spread annual financials, rent rolls, etc.).
  • Provide assistance and training to other Commercial & Business Banking Team Members as needed. Act as a resource for difficult and/or complex issues.
  • Prepare information for and attend Business Loan Committee meetings and make presentations as required.
  • Coordinate the preparation and execution of required loan documents.
  • Oversee collection activity related to designated loan portfolio.
  • Prepare written and oral reports for the Board, management, and other employees as required.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance or equivalent work experience; and
  • At least two (2) years of experience in credit analysis; and
  • At least one (1) year of experience in commercial lending or equivalent work experience; and
  • Must be bondable.
