Kitsap Credit Union is looking for a driven Commercial Lending Relationship Manager to support our continued growth. In this role, you will help grow our Commercial Lending department by being out in our community and credit union footprint to increase commercial loans. You will be developing and servicing business member relationships that include commercial real estate and member business loans. The Commercial Lending Relationship Manager develops, manages and maintains a profitable commercial mortgage and lending portfolio and serves as the business’ primary contact point at the credit union. When you are not out in the community, you will work out of our beautiful, waterside corporate office in Bremerton. This is a great role for someone who loves commercial lending and wants to continue to grow their skills and experience, but not have high pressure, commissioned goals; you really thrive off the relationships and service you provide to our members. 

Some of What You Will Do

  • Develop business relationships that lead to commercial real estate loans and member business loans
  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of the applicant and analyze their cash flow
  • Act as a partner/advisor for the business’ banking needs
  • Negotiate and structure business financing arrangements that meet member and credit union needs.
  • Price and sell Kitsap Credit Union’s products 
  • Maintain contacts with key centers of influence, including established commercial real estate offices to develop a pipeline of prospect opportunities
  • Participate in community and business development activities

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience, required.
  • Two plus years of commercial real estate and lending experience preferred. Experience in lending to a broad range of businesses using a variety of loan types, including: SBA 7a, USDA desired.
  • Understanding of commercial credit negotiations and structuring.
  • Experience with understanding and analyzing financial statements and tax returns.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to build trust quickly.
