Job Description:

Call Center Representative

DEPARTMENT:     Northgate Headquarters – Call Center     
FACILITY:                Seattle, WA   
FLSA STATUS:      Non-Exempt

STARTING SALARY:  $15.00 / hour + Individual Incentives + Team & Company Bonuses + Great Benefits!

Handles teller operations over the phone and remotely, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account transfers, issuing checks, cash advances, and responding to member inquiries. Has extensive member contact and suggests products and services to meet member needs. Exercises independent judgment in resolving issues and satisfying members.  
  • Greet members and guests in a professional and courteous manner
  • Accept savings and checking deposits 
  • Accept and properly apply loan payments
  • Issue checks, money orders, and cashier’s checks
  • Transfer funds between accounts
  • Process stop payments, make address changes, and reorder checks
  • Balance daily transactions
  • Answer member questions regarding accounts over the phone and follows through on member requests
  • Make concentrated effort to solve member problems
  • Promote the Verity’s services and cross-sell products
  • Counsel members on savings, savings alternatives, interest rates, and services offered at the Verity
  • Provide members with the forms necessary to transact business
  • Strictly adhere to established security procedures
    Attending work during regular business hours is a requirement of this position
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned
Education and Experience
  • Experience in customer service preferred
  • Experience in a financial institution is preferred
  • Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to create a connection with members remotely
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to meet work deadlines
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of fundamentals of banking preferred
  • Knowledge of government and CU banking regulations and procedures preferred
  • Ability to use 10 key
