We are currently looking for full-time, exempt Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team!  As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for leveraging data to identify opportunities for improvement, recognize potential issues, and offer solutions.  The position nurtures a data-driven culture by collaborating with business users, creating and maintaining data visualizations and dashboards, suggesting improvements to the data warehouse, and maintaining the organizational data dictionary.

This position is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Springfield, Oregon and is eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements for candidates who meet the program requirements. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm.

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Solicit business reporting and analytical requirements from SELCO leadership and business units.
  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, SSRS reports, and other analytical tools by consulting with business users throughout SELCO.
  • Create written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
  • Create and maintain organizational data dictionary.
  • Perform quality assurance of imported data and work with quality assurance analyst if necessary.
  • Create and maintain training materials for self-service use of business intelligence tools and applications.
  • Identify gaps in available data and recommend solutions or identify alternative data sources.
  • Support initiatives for data integrity and normalization.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence Developer to create and maintain data sets, troubleshoot issues with data stores, and identify improvements to data warehouse.
  • Design and develop ETL jobs to move data between systems.

  • Sophisticated computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Advanced level Power BI, SQL querying, and SQL Server Reporting Services skills.
  • Ability to learn and master specialized software applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into reporting and analytical requirements.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combined education and related work experience; and
  • Two (2) or more years of business intelligence or data analysis experience; and
  • At least two (2) years of financial institution experience; and
  • Must be bondable.
