Summary

Kitsap Credit Union is growing and has a job opening for a full-time salaried, hybrid work eligible Budget Analyst to work out of our beautiful corporate office in Kitsap County Washington, in downtown Bremerton.  The Budget Analyst is responsible for providing financial analyses and data support to our individual business units, Management, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), and the Board of Directors.  In addition, this employee is responsible for the budgeting and forecasting model and assumptions. This position is responsible for researching and reconciling discrepancies within ledgers and subledgers. This new employee will coordinate budgeting and forecasting activities and provide support and training to Department Managers throughout the organization.

 

Typical Job Duties

  • Perform complex and comprehensive financial analysis and reporting
  • Coordinate preparation of the annual operating budget for non-interest income and expense
  • Report and analyze budget variances for Management and the Board of Directors
  • Perform financial forecasting and budgeting for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement, produce reporting on results, and monitor operating metrics and trends
  • Identify trends and make recommendations for improvements in operating results
  • Assist the Project Management Department in calculating estimated return on investments for requested projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Five plus years of financial analysis experience, with a minimum of two years of budget analysis or management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Five plus years of experience with a credit union or other financial institution
  • Experience with Fiserv Prologue and Jack Henry Profitstar
