Job Description:

Manage and direct branch/department activities and workflows to ensure efficient and effective operations as it relates to New Account, Lending and Member Services.

Represent P1FCU and provide leadership in key community activities including business, charitable, civic and social organizations.

Educate and introduce current and new members to self-service options, with continual education as new products and electronic services are introduced.

Responsible to lead the team to deliver the expected service behaviors and results. Schedule according to forecasts, use the scheduling tools and follow scheduling expectations.

Utilize knowledge to answer difficult questions, to explain specific policies and procedures, and to solve complex problems for members and staff.

Evaluate, schedule and oversee the arrangements for the proper maintenance of the interior and exterior of the branch and all existing equipment.

Keep abreast of industry trends and developments with competitors through such activities as reading publication, contacting counterparts in other organizations and attending meetings, seminars and special events.

Consistently read and respond to all correspondences, including emails and voicemail messages.

Successfully complete, and ensure team completes, required compliance training annually.

Understand and manage the financial stability of the branch, including, but not limited to, staffing of the branch/department, payroll costs including overtime, facilities maintenance, collateral control, financial reports, etc.

Conduct loan interviews. Process, recommend approval and/or close loans. May underwriter consumer loans up to the amount assigned per credit union policy.

May perform duties of Member Service Representative, Teller, or other operational positions on an as needed basis.

In partnership with back office support as appropriate, responsible for employment, training, scheduling, motivating, evaluating, accountability and retention of quality staff.

Proactively participate in training/skill building to close gaps and build proficiencies. Complete and deliver employee evaluations in a timely manner, verifying that all standards are being met or addressed with a plan of action to support staff success.

Apply and evaluate policies and procedures set for the branch. Ensure that the branch is in compliance with credit union regulations and procedures, and federal and state laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies.

Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis. Ensure that staff receives on-going training on security and robbery procedures.

Monitor branch operating results relative to established objectives and insure appropriate steps are taken to correct unsatisfactory conditions. Maintain communications with VP of Operations. Prepare and submit standard reports, as requested. Attend scheduled management meetings.

Contribute to effective department and credit union operations by performing other duties as assigned.

Overall accountability for Branch/Department performance in Sales, Service, Employee

Development, Business Development, Safety, Compliance, and Security procedures such as alarm, vault, locks and respond as needed to emergencies as applicable to the Branch/ Department.

Maintain a high level of confidentiality relative to any information received directly or indirectly as it relates to the organization, membership, staff and management.

Education/Experience Required:


Three years to five years of similar or related experience. A minimum for two years of progressively responsible management experience within a financial organization to have gained necessary experience and background knowledge in order to manage a facility and to deal effectively with employee and member relations.
