The Commercial Lending Underwriter supports business banking and the Commercial Department team with regards to originations and the servicing of credit relationships maintained by the Commercial Department. They are responsible for independently analyzing credit requests and the repayment capacity of new applicants and existing members, monitoring borrower compliance with approved terms, portfolio management, and assisting in the administration of credit relationships. The Commercial Lending Underwriter will spread financial statements and analyze/underwrite various collateral types, (including real estate, accounts receivable, inventory, and equipment). Analysts may be tasked with becoming proficient in SBA and USDA loans and performing evaluation / appraisal reviews.
InRoads Credit Union is looking for qualified applicants with 3 years’ experience as an analyst, a commercial lender and/or with underwriting, and a Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field) and/or equivalent work experience. This position requires understanding of financial fundamentals, demonstrable analytical skills with good judgement and effective problem resolution skills. This position demands effective communication and is required to function successfully in a high-volume work flow environment with short-term deadlines. This position is expected to be available for work Monday through Saturday.
